Very Pinteresting

There's this website that can be your online bulletin board for all of your great ideas you'll probably never do. I think it's the perfect place to be able to live vicariously through someone else. You can be in awe of the craftiness of others and forget for a brief moment in time that half-finished project stuffed deep inside your closet out of eyesight so you don't have to feel guilty every time you pick out shoes for the day. And, instead of looking at your own tiny kitchen you can look with longing at your someday kitchen on your Pinterest kitchen ideas board. Someday....

The only thing I find that I actually do from Pinterest is use the recipes. I've found some really good Weight Watchers recipes that I've tried.

There's the Bubble up Enchiladas made with ground turkey and low fat refrigerated biscuits. (We already dug into it before I remembered to take a pic...obviously.)

There's the glowing green smoothie with banana, frozen peaches, frozen pineapple and spinach. It was great.

Then there's the caprese salad. Soooo, good, but I'm a little bit obsessed with basil. Obsessed meaning I want to put basil on everything I eat. From pasta to sandwiches to ice cream...well, maybe not ice cream...yet.

I suppose when you are limited to what you can eat, you try to get a little inventive. Thus, Pinterest.

P.S. There are tons of crafts on Pinterest, maybe someday I'll do one.

P.P.S. If you want an invite to Pinterest, let me know. I waited and waited and waited (we are talking months) for one from the site without realizing that my sister could invite me. I felt silly.

Hello?...Is Anyone Out There?...Bueller...

I'm sure my following has abandoned me long, long ago, maybe around December, so I don't really expect anyone to read this. However, if you're still around, because you are awesome, then know that I am jumping back on the blog bandwagon. Having a kid has made me busier (more tired?) than I ever thought I would be. It's not that I don't have time to blog, it's that during my time I have to blog I would rather do things like catch up on "Parenthood" or go workout.

I know what you're thinking: "Abby? Workout?" Well, you're thinking is right. I don't love it, but my big fat butt wasn't going anywhere with diet alone, so I've called up the help of the elliptical to work it off. Greg and I joined a big fancy gym right down the street from us. It has fitness classes, pools, spas, functions, dances, and all sorts of amazing things for us to do. So, I suppose it's silly that I go the same times during the week, to the same elliptical, and do the same workout routine instead of all the fancy stuff we pay for. What can I say? I have routine-ed my life to a ridiculous degree.

So, with the help of Weight Watchers point system (which I think really works because I won't eat things because I'm too lazy to write them down) and the fourth elliptical in the second row at the gym, I am slowly starting to work weight off the old fashioned way. It's sloooooooowly working...

Everything else is wonderful. Greg and I are thinking of looking for a new casa, I think mainly because he's sick of hearing about how I wish my kitchen was bigger.

This kid is getting bigger and smarter everyday. She's this close to walking, but has a crazy fast crawl so probably doesn't see the point, and she's getting teeth and eating what we eat and growing so fast. While it's making me miss my little baby, I'm excited to see the adorable little girl she's growing into. Which I'm sure is not the one that's at my feet screaming because I won't let her type on the computer...

P.S. More blogs are coming. I'm going to blog you're mind. (Get it? Instead of blow your mind? You can expect more of that amazing-ness)

P.P.S. Yes, she finally stopped screaming...
